The 2005 Rocky Mountain Treffen was held in Nathrop, Colorado, August 3-7th 2005. While the rain changed our plans, it did not dampen our spirits. Some went Whitewater Rafting, some went rock hounding and some soaked in the Hot Springs. We did the following trails: Grizzly Lake, Lower Pomeroy Lake, Upper Pomeroy Lake, Alpine Tunnel/Hancock and Tincup Passes, Mt. Antero, and Old Chinaman’s Gulch. This year’s Treffen Awards went to: Eric Fischer- ITO Award for rolling his dad’s pinz on a newly graded road, prompting a nighttime rescue, Pittman Haymore and Scott Viehdorfer got Newbie Awards for completing the Old Chinaman’s Gulch trail.
