The 10th Annual Rocky Mountain Pinzgauers Treffen was held in Palisade Colorado July 29 – August 2nd, 2009. Treffen Central was located at James Robb State Park. The following trails were run: Grand Junction Desert, Battlement Mesa, Long Slough Reservoir and Colorado National Monument. In addition to trail rides, attendees enjoyed local Winery tours, a Meet N Greet in town, Kids Olympics and of course the auction on Saturday Night.
Fifteen minutes of rain at the start of the Battlement Mesa trail ride made the trail more difficult than we ever imagined, taking us until 3:30pm to reach the reservoirs at the top.
